Detector Island: A Metal Detecting Game

by

You walk around on an island digging up random bits of metal objects. Most of the time you'll find trash, but the most rewarding feeling is when you find treasure. These objects earn a varying number of points, depending on what the object comes out as, which you can use to buy skins or upgrades for your detector. Listen to calming music as you take in the island's unique scenery. What can you dig up?

I wish i could play this game looks great but try and make some overall point of the game or even more ways to get points like mining, fishing, and/or woodcutting would be an awesome game if made these in it

I had a hard time finding any objects. It would help a lot if you taught the player super early on what I was looking for because I ended up just wandering very bored. And maybe you could also have more visual indication where objects could potentially be, aka the general area of objects. I could potentially see a cool collectathon where you could potentially do puzzles for more important objects, much like how in zelda botw you can collect Koroks and do little puzzles in the open world. I would also spice up the world e world more graphically and make the landscape look more interesting with props and such, perhaps even have the environment impact the player.

I do like the menu quite a lot however, it's a huge plus in any game to be able to adjust your options.

It's obviously an early prototype but I actually enjoy the idea behind it. With expansion of such ideas like a shop etc to sell/upgrade gear and equipment would make it a great casual game.

Well there not much to this game yet. The idea is fab big potential but thats about it at the moment. The game play is super hard as in trying to find objects. There nothing to indicate that you are close, perhaps some sort of sound to confirm you are close or a pop up message. The music is very relaxing, the detector it self needs to be slower when moving perhaps as it looks it appears too fast. I personally gave up after 10 mins of searching but I am sure as the game progresses it will become better
