Gude!Jump

The only Jump 'n Run where touch controls don't suck!
If you likePlattformers but you are as frustrated as me by soft-button controlls, you will enjoy Gude!Jump.
Only two thumbs needed, touching anywhere left or right.
- touch left -> go left
- touch right -> go right
- touch right then left -> jump right

Touch controls:
- Only two thumbs needed, touching anywhere left or right.
- touch left -> go left
- touch right -> go right
- touch right then left -> jump right
Keyboard Controls:
- 'A' or 'LeftArrow' -> go left
- 'D' or 'RightArrow' -> go right
- 'W' or 'UpArrow' or 'Space' -> jump
- Spider Enemy
- Particle/Weather effects
- Easier wall-jumps and wall-slides

Game Graphics ControlsI do like the graphics you had and also the way that light works with the levels. I do think that PC controls, I wouldn't really like 'W' to be jump, I think it's more natural for it to be space as it's a standard across many games. Also, sliders to the audio would be great to control the level of things but overall I think it's pretty good.

Thanks for your feedback.An audio slider seems simple and necessary.
Also I will consider binding space and 'w' to jump (as well as arrowkey group).. Its not like I am running out of keys for now ;-)

Mechanics ControlsI like the fact that you need to have the level in your head while playing and how you used darkness as mechanic, a challenge is really nice. But the controls are really floaty and feels a little awkward to move.

Did you play on Android or Windows? Can you give more information about floaty part, as it is a very important aspect of any platformer, i try to improve it.

Game Graphics MechanicsNice particle effects and lighting.
The thing you can improve imo is the character movement, he feels a little draggy and heavy. Also he does not jump as high as needed in many cases.

Mechanics ControlsCats can do everything !!!
I liked the ambiance, this lovely cat in this dark and freaking world. The pixel art is very nice.
There were 2 things that prevent me to play beyond the 4th level:
* the respawn system works well one the 1rs and 2nd death, but after many tries, the cat spawns on a previous checkpoint and I loose some advance in the level. Annoying.
* Jumps between 2 vertical walls are not intuitive and I've failed to jump so many times while being sticked to a wall. I intuitively hold the "up" arrow while hitting the left or right key to make a jump. (Maybe you can take example on Assassin's creed climbing controls)

Hi Marc,thanks for your Feedback.
Regarding your 1st point: Respawn consumes a Butterfly. If you have None left, the Level is reset completely. If this mechanic was not obvious, I will have to do something About it. Thanks for the hint.
Regarding 2nd Point: In Addition to the 'walljump' (left/right away from wall and hit 'up'), a vetical 'wallclimb' will be unlocked with Level 6 ( left/right against wall and hit 'up' ). I will have to mull over it how to improve wlljump and Keep it compatible with wallclimb and mobile controls.
