Scrapship: A randomized top-down shooter programmed in Qbasic!

New Features:

Controls: 

Arrow keys or WASD = Move

Space Bar = Fire weapon

C = Change weapon

F / G = Toggle Fullscreen mode

P = Pause Game

ESC = Exit Game

Mechanics Tutorial/Learning Curve
The game is interesting, I like how damage works (that it disables some weapons and is also shown visually).
I also like how the different enemies.
It seems to be working well, I have no big complaints.
Below are some small criticisms.

At one point my score was negative and no opponents came on screen.
At one point an enemy shot a large bullet, which didn't move for the rest of the game.
The controls for entering/exiting fullscreen don't always work.
Basic control screen flashes too quickly to find useful information.
It took me some time to figure out what scrap storm is (at first I thought I could collect the scrap flying by).
When the boss arrives it is difficult to get between the bullets (as the bullets are not flying in a straight line, they jiggle a bit).

Hi Jonas! Thanks for your feedback, it's very helpful and I'm glad that you seemed to like it.

So far I've fixed the negative scoring issue and I've added the others to my bug list.
Scrapstorms are an alternate attack you can do based off of how much scrap you've collected. More scrap = larger scrapstorm.

Feedback
there should be lives, it's hard if you die after 1 lost life
I failed to stop the battleship on easy -> decrease difficulty
the scrap should give bonusses earlier, I collected 28 and had none
my wing got destroyed, I didn't know what that meant
graphics could be better (with shadows) / or pixel art with more candy colors

Controls Mechanics
Hi man i play it 5 times i found big amount of bugs in current state Demo v6, but game looks nice and brings me back to my Tyrian age :) For me its a lot of nostalgic :)

Bugs that i found currently
- full screen not works, why you use different button to jump in/out ? F and G ? better is just only one toggle button.
- UI is broken, when i scalled game manualy with push window to height or wide.
- menu works with randomly keys, use same nevigators in whole game (why back from settings is whitout press to back ? ) Use everytime same button, when you fire gun with sapce, allow us use "space button" to navigate in menu. (same controll is less confuzing)
- mode switch dont works when i press left fight arrow (when it not works, dont show it).
- on main menu screen i dont see START GAME button, after while i find it under mode change (very confuzing)
- credits run in infinite loop somtimes
- basic controls when you start game disapear werry fast , maybee let me push some button to continue (whith write me it "Press any key to continue").
- gameplay scripting have currently some problems, when i restart game after i died, game continue from previous game (reset it)
- after score +32000 it reset counter to -32000 and loop it forewer between this values.
- when you move with scraps and planet on screen use float numbers to his move, because scrap objects jumping and it not looks nice.

What i like
- girl voice in game
- game graphics (but still need work)
- infinite cycling of undestroyed ships (nice)
- game tips
- used font is nice
- used music is very nice.
- nice game name, work on some story for it.

Tips:
- Make everything done (small working pieces), when you make a lot of things together, wou will have finising problems
- If you do not do "every-time use between screen time delay to correct movement, without relation to CPU performance" use it.
- Try to inovate mechanics (use some new ideas)
- Think on controll unity , use same buttons for important things. Not everytime different.

Conclusion
Wery good game, but stil need a lot of work. I wish good luck

Hi devbobcz, thanks for the lengthy feedback! I've added it to my spreadsheet of likes and dislikes.
A new demo will be coming out near the end of October and I have already fixed some of the bugs you noted.
